Q: How much do your cakes cost?

A: Because all of our cakes are priced individually based on the size and complexity of design, we do not have a standard price list on custom cakes. Bridal cake base pricing begins at $4.75 a serving and includes tax, tasting, local delivery, whatever flavors you want for your different tiers, use of stand/plateau as long as returned by Tuesday after the wedding. Final price per serving of bridal cake is ultimately determined by design.

Q: How do I order a cake?

A: Click the "Contact Us" link at the top of the page, complete and submit the form complete with date needed, type of cake, if a consultation would be desired, name, phone number and best method/time to reach you. We are not a storefront but a cake boutique/studio.

Q: What is your payment policy?

A: All custom cakes and wedding cakes require a 50% non-refundable deposit. The balance due on custom cakes may be presented at time of pick up/delivery while the balance on wedding cakes is due two weeks prior to the event. In event that an event is cancelled or postponed client will have a credit in the amount of the deposit made.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment to place a cake order?

A: Not at all! Most custom orders are handled by phone and email but the option for design consultation is available. For wedding cakes and complex custom orders consultations are appreciated if client is able.

Q: What do I need to bring to design consultation?

A: Samples of cake designs you like, colors/theme you are using, flowers if using, party supplies or invitations you may be trying to coordinate with, brides should also bring contact information for coordinators, vendors, planners.

Q: Do you offer delivery service?

A: Delivery is available for wedding cakes and cakes that require on-site assembly. Delivery fees are calculated by distance traveled and are roughly $100 per hour. Our delivery range is roughly 4-6 hours from Dothan. Longer deliveries are occasionally arranged but must be determined on a case-by-case basis.

While it is generally not a problem for clients to transport smaller cakes, self-transporting any cake is at your own risk. Tara's Temptations does not recommend clients self-transport 3D/sculptured cakes, cakes over 2 tiers tall, or any cake more than 3 hours distance and is not responsible for any damage that may occur to any client-transported cake once it has left our bakery.

Q: Do you offer tastings?

A: Yes!! Bridal packages come with this feature which is meant to be a mini-event! Brides choose from our decadent selection of flavors and take home to enjoy with those whom they'd like to help decide flavors of their cake! Tasting boxes can be purchased as well!

Q: Do you ship your cakes?

A: No, we do not ship cakes.

Q: I have dietary restrictions, can you help?

A: We offer a wide variety of vegan, egg-free, sugar free, and gluten free cakes. There are limitations to design options with some of these options and can be addressed at time of order.
